By: The Citizen
For her Gold Award Project for Girl Scouts, Diane Wilfong started a running club at Kedron Elementary School in Peachtree City this year. Wilfong met with an average of 50 students and taught them proper technique, stretching and hopefully a lifelong love of physical fitness and most of all, running. Jennifer Leonard and her brother Brenden Leonard, were a huge help to Wilfong, by coming to running club and helping with the kids. Jennifer Leonard will be starting her Gold Project in the near future. There are eight Girl Scouts in Peachtree City from Service Unit 617 who completed their Gold Award Project this year. Including Wilfong, they are: Haley Carney, Cailyn Worley, Keaton Hannon, Cassandra Heimann, Kelsi Antram, Courtney Freeman, and Jen Safko, The Gold Award is the highest award in Girl Scouts. login to post comments |
