PNB donates to SCT

Peachtree National Bank has signed on to sponsor Bluegrass on the Green, the 2006 fall benefit for the Southern Conservation Trust, a community land trust based in Fayette County. Bank President Richard Spink presented the check to Abby Jordan, executive director, and Julian Campbell, trust board chair. Peachtree National has locations in Fayette, Clayton and Henry counties, three fast growing communities in the Trust’s conservation focus area.

“We’re grateful that Peachtree National Bank is again a lead sponsor for our fall benefit, which will feature wonderful food, an auction and a great bluegrass band,” said Jordan. Bluegrass on the Green raises money for local conservation and will be held Saturday, October 21 at Catalpa Plantation in rural Coweta County.

Southern Conservation Trust owns and manages local natural areas and holds conservation easements, a legal tool that allows landowners to protect their land while continuing to own and use it, and receive significant tax benefits as well.
