Fulton County Public Works Department announces Bulk Trash Amnesty Days on August 26 and November 4. Residents can drop large items of waste at three locations without paying for disposal. Fulton County residents who want to keep their neighborhoods beautiful while disposing of bulk waste such as old refrigerators, computers, televisions and furniture can drop it off on Saturday, August 26 and Saturday, November 4, 2006 between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. The Public Works Department has designated three drop-off sites for large items. The sites include: The Merk Road Transfer Station at 3225 Merk Road in College Park (770-629-0700), Rico Community Center at 6505 Rico Road (770-463-6303) and Creel Park at 1775 Creel Road in College Park (770-996-4189). Large items such as electronics and appliances will be accepted. The drop-off locations will not accept paints, household chemicals, household batteries, construction waste, demolition debris or yard waste.
