It's the time of year again for the 17th annual Kidz Fest (formerly The Last Fling). This year Kidz Fest is scheduled for Saturday, August 19 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Shakerag Knoll at 191 McIntosh Trail in Peachtree City. This year’s free rides include: The Great Rock Wall, The Giant Slide, Iron Man Obstacle Course, Rock em' Sock em' (jousting game) and Monster Truck Moon Walk. The ever popular Money Machine will also be free for children as long as their parents fill out a brief survey. Prizes will also be awarded at the Money Machine.

Pony rides are available for $4. You can bring your own camera and take pony ride pictures of your child for free, or you can pay Country Junction for a collectible photo. For a nominal fee, food vendors will be selling a variety of items. The XPlayground will be debuting their newest pizzas, Backyard Burgers will be offering their burgers and chicken sandwiches, The Chicago Eatery will sell samples of PTC's first Chicago Italian beef sandwich, Brusters will sell ice cream and scout troops will sell cotton candy, snow cones and hot dogs.

This year Kidz Fest will feature its largest variety of entertainment in its history. Clown around with The Clowns with New Hope. They will bring their calliope and their fire truck. The clowns will also offer free face painting and balloons. For the first time ever at Kidz Fest, Ronald McDonald will perform live at 2 p.m., and all of the McDonald characters will be there as well to entertain. Chick-Fil-a of Peachtree City along with the ever popular cow will offer free prizes on their spinning wheel.
