Gabrielle Hendrick - Corrections and additional details to Obituary posted on 8/10Gabrielle “Gabby” Hendrick, 11, Newnan, went home to be with the Lord on July 24, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained in a horrific car accident. While in the sedan driven by her father, the family was struck from behind by a full size SUV that was driving at an excessive rate of speed on Interstate 85. At the time of the impact on July 23rd, her family was on their way returning home from church and slowed to assist a motorist and a Dalmatian that was on the roadway at the time of impact. Gabrielle was taken via Lifeflight to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta until she went home to be with the Lord on July 24th. Gabrielle was born Oct. 30, 1994 in Manhassett, New York. Home Going Celebration Services were held at World Changers Church International with Minister Michael Carter officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park. The Repast meal was held at the Hendrick residence. Survivors include her parents, Eric and Sandy Hendrick, Newnan; her beloved brother, Miles Hendrick, Newnan; and grandparents, Frederic Hendrick, Lawrenceville, Elizabeth Hendrick, Newnan, and Thomas Saltibus, Cambria Heights, N. Y. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that Teddy Bears be donated to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Hospital in Decatur, GA(formerly Egelstons Hospital) on behalf of Gabrielle Hendrick because Gabby was a comforter and would have wanted the children to be comforted. Everyday spent with Gabrielle was a gift because no one could have asked for a more perfect daughter than her. There is no doubt in our minds that she is dancing around the Father's throne right now, and that we will see her beautiful smiling face again someday. However, while our eyes long to see her, our arms ache to hold her, if her presence must be absent from us, there's no place we'd rather her be than safe in the Master's arms because there's no multiple skull fractures in Heaven. So until we meet again Pumpkin, see you later and know that Mommy, Daddy and Miles loves you and miss you dearly. Sandra Hendrick's blog | login to post comments |
