Interactive mystery theater at PTC church highlights weekend events

Peachtree City First Presbyterian Church will host an evening of mystery, murder, music and mayhem on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 18 and 19, at 7 p.m. in the church’s Smith Hall. The event, “Bubba’s Buffet — Murder on the Menu,” is a murder mystery dessert theater with interactive audience participation.

Among the characters portrayed by actors Chuck Ramm, Catherine, Doud, Mitch Boettger, Laura Freeman, and Caroline Freeman, will be Bubba Reardon and his parents Colonel Reardon and Miss Lulabelle.

Many audience characters, including Toby Teeth, Sheriff Dandy Griffin, Deputy Barney Rife and Lotta Dollars, also will be featured.

The show was written by Genevieve Ramsey, who has been writing, producing and directing murder mystery dinner and dessert theater for the past 15 years in Hilton Head and Charleston, S.C., Savannah, and Peachtree City.

Directing the performance will be Ramsey and her husband Tom. The Ramsey family, including daughter Erin, resides in Peachtree City.
