The site plan for Southcrest Bank and retail center at Carriage Oaks Drive and Ga. Highway 74 was approved Thursday by Tyrone Planning Commission. The recommendation came with a unanimous vote. The 1.75-acre site is proposed for the home of a one-story, 14,970 square foot building slated for Southcrest Bank and other businesses. The site is located on the east side of Hwy. 74 on the corner between the highway and Chaps. TCG Holdings representative Burt Clark told commissioners their concerns at the previous meeting had been successfully addressed. Those included diminishing the size of the building by more than 500 square feet to accommodate the proposed 75 parking spaces, screening off the dumpster area, relocating a driveway and installing an island on the northside parking area. Commissioners voted to recommend approval of the site plan after a brief discussion and input by city consultant engineer Jonathan Lewis. login to post comments |
