• Ryan Barr, a Starr’s Mill graduate, got some playing time for Bloomsburg University in their 42-28 win over Millersville.

• Deante Battle, a Starr’s Mill graduate at Northwestern University, had six solo tackles, six assists and two pass breakups in their 28-27 win over Iowa.

• Larry Beard, a Sandy Creek graduate, had one solo tackle for Georgia Southern in their 27-24 win over Furman.

• Brian Brown, a Sandy Creek graduate, got some playing time for the University of Delaware in their 35-7 loss to the University of Massachusetts.

• Darrell Burston, a Starr’s Mill graduate playing at Florida State University, had one solo tackle, two assists, one and a half tackles for a loss and half a sack, in the Seminoles 20-15 loss to NC State.

• Chris Capps, a Landmark Christian graduate at the University of Alabama, started at left tackle in their 17-0 win over Mississippi State.

• Charles Castleberry, a McIntosh graduate, had six rushes for 14 yards in the University of Minnesota, Crookston’s 34-14 win over Minnesota State University - Moorehead.

• John Deraney, a Fayette County graduate, kicked two field goals for NC State in their 20-15 win over Florida State. He also had seven punts for 282 yards.

• Jason Earwood, a Starr’s Mill graduate, had one solo tackle, two assists and one pass break up for Georgia Southern in their 27-24 win over Furman University.

• Johnny Edwards, a Starr’s Mill graduate, had some playing time for Wake Forest in their 30-17 loss to Georgia Tech.

• Andrew Gardner, a Sandy Creek graduate, started at left tackle for Georgia Tech in their 30-17 win over Wake Forest.

• Joshua Haney, a Sandy Creek graduate, had two catches for 13 yards for The Citadel in their 31-21 loss to Chattanooga.

• Chris James, a Starr’s Mill graduate, kicked two field goals and two extra points for Western Kentucky in their 23-20 loss to Northern Iowa.

• Calvin Johnson, a Sandy Creek graduate, had four catches for 98 yards and a touchdown in Georgia Tech’s 30-17 win over Wake Forest.

• Neal Sebastian, a Starr’s Mill graduate, had some playing time in the U.S. Merchant Marine Aacdemy’s 27-21 win over St. Lawrence.

• Riley Swanson, a Sandy Creek graduate, had two solo tackles, one assist and two pass break-ups for Wake Forest in their 30-17 loss to Georgia Tech.
