Edwin ‘Ed’ Wyvis Whitlock, 69, Fayetteville, died Aug. 4, 2006. He was born Jan. 1, 1937 in Fayette County, son of E. C. and Bertie Lee Moore Whitlock.He was retired from Wood Fruitticher Grocery Company with 14 years of service. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel. Survivors include his wife, Maria Whitlock, Fayetteville; a brother, Bryant and Ruth Whitlock, Jonesboro; sisters, Virginia Banks, and Clois and Ronnie Bass, all of Fayetteville; and a uncle and aunt, Carl and Clois Whitlock, Jonesboro. Memorial donations may be made to the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
