Cooking Light Fit House
The Joseph Sams School an accredited, private, non-profit school located in Fayetteville, Georgia, has been chosen by Cooking Light magazine, the nation’s largest food and fitness magazine, as one of two beneficiaries to receive a portion of all proceeds from their annual Cooking Light FitHouse.

The Joseph Sams School serves children who have mild to severe intellectual, physical or diagnosed developmental disabilities from birth through high school. There are no geographic restrictions for attendance, although the majority of students reside in Clayton, Coweta, Fayette, Fulton and Henry counties. The Joseph Sams School is the only school of its kind in the metropolitan Atlanta area that provides services to such a broad range of students with disabilities. As a non-profit school, The Joseph Sams School relies heavily on the support and generosity of its donors and the community. “We are excited to have been chosen as one of the recipients of this project,” said Clemene Ramsey, Executive Director of The Joseph Sams School.

Architect John Tee, AIA and Mac McKinney of McKinney Builders Inc. led the FitHouse construction. Interior designer Cheryl Carson Simpson of CCS Interior Design rounded out the famed design team. Developers Marie and Steve Nygren have been involved with real estate development in Serenbe since 1991.
