Local Realtors gear up for Noel November It’s all about giving. The gifts come dressed as beautifully decorated theme trees, wreaths, mantle arrangements, decorations and a variety of Christmas collectibles donated by local businesses and individuals in anticipation of the evening auction. This is the eleventh annual Noel November, sponsored by the Fayette County Board of Realtors. “Noel November ~ A Celebration of Trees and a Tradition of Giving Back to the Community” highlights the ongoing efforts of the Realtors‚ responding to the needs of local children’s and senior’s charities. Proceeds benefit the Fayette Youth Protection Home, Promise Place, Fayette Senior Services, and the Fayette Family Y.M.C.A. Preparations for this annual fundraising event culminate Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Kiwanis Fairgrounds at 939 Goza Road in Fayetteville. The day-long celebration begins with an open house from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. where all are welcome to stroll through the winter wonderland of donated Christmas trees, wreaths, table arrangements and mantle decorations. Local school and church chorale groups will be featured during the day along with Carla’s Dance Factory who’ll delight all with their holiday performance. Children’s holiday crafts and a visit with Santa Claus including a complimentary photo are also planned. Food and refreshments will be available. In the evening, the finale is the live auction that showcases the spirit of giving back to our community. The beautifully decorated items are sold one at a time to the highest bidder. This year, the doors will reopen at 6 p.m. Also new this year will be a special appearance of the “Coyote Band,” who are players from the Peachtree Wind Ensemble, as a prelude to the auction. Conducting the orchestra will be John Miller. Hors d’oeuvres will be provided during the evening. The Fayette County Board of Realtors is one of more than 1,600 local boards and associations of Realtors nationwide that comprise the National Association of Realtors. As the nation's largest trade association, NAR is "The Voice for Real Estate," representing more than 1 million members involved in all aspects of the residential and commercial real estate industries.
