Helen Lois Reed, 86, Fayetteville, died July 30, 2006. She was born May 31, 1920 in Franklin County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Artist Jackson Reed, and a son, Ronald T. Reed. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Services were at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Rhys Stenner, the Rev. Todd Meadows, and the Rev. John Conrad officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Jonesboro. Survivors include a son, Harold and Jackie Reed, Fayetteville; a daughter, Jackie and Willie Meadows, Cumming, a daughter-in-law, Cathy Reed Edwards, Atlanta; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
