An additional Mass on Sunday has been announced by St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Sharpsburg, effective Aug. 13. On the new schedule, Masses will be at 9 a.m. and noon.

The new schedule, offering three weekend Masses, was necessitated by the large numbers attending the present Sunday 10 a.m. Mass. Father Daniel J. Fleming, pastor of the parish, said the standing room only turnout indicated the need for an additional Sunday Mass.

Under the new schedule, Saturday evening Vigil Mass will be at 5 p.m. and Sunday Masses will be at 9 a.m. and noon. All Masses are celebrated at East Coweta High School’s cafeteria, 400 McCollum-Sharpsburg Road (Ga. Hwy. 154).

The first church for St. Mary Magdalene is presently under construction on the parish property, 4046 Lower Fayetteville Rd. For additional information/directions, call the parish office, 770-253-1888.
