Bernice Smith-Morgan Byrom, 86, Union City, died July 20, 2006. She was born Jan. 4, 1920 in Senoia. She had 86 years of Christian service in the general area. As a member of the North Fayette Baptist Church, she served with the choir, and also taught a Sunday School class of ladies. Services were at the North Fayette Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. James W. ”Jim” Willis and the Rev. Dr. William O. “Bill” Priester officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include her husband and his five sons; a son, Harold and Laura Smith; a daughter, Nina and Steve Mikell; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to Southwest Christian Care, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, Ga. 30291. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
