Jewell “Red” Gaston, 84, Newnan, died July 15, 2006. He was born May 20,1922 in Coweta County. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy Gaston. He was owner and operator of Gaston Furniture and Appliance in College Park for over 30 years. He was a member of First Christian Church, Tyrone. Services were at First Christian Church, Tyrone, with Minister Billy Rowe officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Clara Eugene Gaston, Newnan; daughters, Deborah and Greg Etue, Marie Attenborough, Darlene and Jeff Comer, and Emma Travers, all of Newnan, and Jean and Wayman Allison, Ellijay; a sister, Lena Callaway, Whitesburg; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to First Christian Church, 294 Jenkins Road, Tyrone, Ga. 30290. Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.
