Helen Smith, 78, Fairburn, died July 14, 2006. She was born Nov. 19, 1927 in Fulton County. She was retired from Georgia Power Company. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairburn where she served as church historian. Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Stephen Batts officiating. Interment was at Holly Hill Memorial Park, Fairburn.Survivors include a brother, Roy Smith, Fairburn; and sisters, Margie Ayers, and Jean Irwin, both of Palmetto. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.
