To the residents of Peachtree City: My husband and I were yet again delighted to spend some vacation time in Peachtree City visiting family and friends.

Though my husband grew up in Peachtree City, he graciously relocated to New Jersey when we married, as I “came with a house.” Though Jeff’s parents and two sisters relocated to Kansas (work relocation), his sister Krista lives in Sharpsburg, and we all got together this July along with Jeff’s grandparents from Wisconsin.

I fell in love with your pristine community from the first visit and more so each time I return (this was my sixth visit). I have taken endless photos in and around your community, from the beautiful churches to the endless scenic lake views, the many fountains, the golf cart paths and exquisite foliage, as well as the wildlife and beautiful homes – I love it all.

We always stay at the Wyndham and have never been disappointed; we are treated as royalty there and no one could be nicer.

We always look forward to dining in a new eatery that has opened since our last visit. Smokey Bones and Ted’s Montana Grill was at the top of our list this year and we were in awe of the food.

I found a new love — pecans — from the pecan crusted trout at Ted’s, to the pecan-crusted butter at Smokey Bones, to the pecan pancakes at the Cracker Barrel.

As a family we enjoyed the Atlanta Aquarium, and Jeff and I had a wonderful time taking in an Atlanta Silverbacks game. (This was particularly enjoyable for my husband as he refereed for many years).

Our goal is to relocate to Peachtree City within five years and we will strive hard to make that a reality. Until then, we will have to make do with yearly visits. We look forward to your kind and most gracious Southern hospitality that has been evidenced in everyone we have met.
