Nearly 200 new teachers participated in teacher induction activities July 24-28.

Every year teachers new to the Fayette County School System are invited to take part in a week-long session which helps them become familiar with the county’s teaching philosophies and practices. New teachers are also introduced to key county office administrators.

On the last day of induction, teachers report to their assigned schools where they are paired with a mentor to help them become acquainted with the facility and procedures.

All teachers will report back to school July 31 for pre-planning in order to get ready for the return of students on August 7.
