James Ivey “Bud” Godbee Jr. 53, Fayetteville, died July 22, 2006. He was born Oct. 20, 1952 in Fulton County. He was reared in Atlanta and loved cars, racing, fishing and dogs. He was a talented artist and musician and enjoyed all music from the Beatles to rock and roll to country. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Charlotte; daughters, Shelby and Dennis Messman, Kelly and Mark Wurster II, and Tracy and Ken Garner; grandchildren, Brandon Godbee, Trey Messman, Dustin Messman, Kendall Garner, Kloie Garner, and Kayla Wurster; his parents, Ivey and Elizabeth Godbee Sr.; sisters, Lynda and Dennis Plumpin, and Brenda and Claude Raptis; nephews, Trent and Tyree; and Bill and Bonnie Hawkins. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
