The Fayette County Christian Fellowship, an organization formed to bring Christian churches of the county into an ecumenical setting, announces a get-together this Sunday, July 30. It will be at the Sams Auditorium, beginning at 2:30 p.m. There is no charge and it will end around 4 p.m.

“Christian Youth Explosion is an opportunity for the coming together of young Christian believers to express themselves in their unique, but orderly worship of our God and his son, Jesus Christ,” a spokesperson said. “It is hoped that the organization can bridge the gap between ethnicity, culture, denomination, and Christian beliefs, as well as break the mold of Sunday being ‘the most segregated day of the week.’”

Christian youth are invited to participate in the genre of choirs, liturgical dance, mime, Christian comedians, or Christian step.

All Christian churches of Fayette County are invited to become members of the FCCF.

Those who need more information or those who wish to inquire about their church group’s participation are asked to call the Rev. Melvin Ware, Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 770-461-6526, or the Rev. Edward Johnson, Flat Rock AME, 770-856-3271.
