The second in a series of informational sessions on the care of the elderly will be held Thursday Aug. 24, at the Peachtree City Church of God, 3935 Highway 34 East , Sharpsburg. The event is co-sponsored by Latter Day Saints and St. Mary Magdalene Catholic churches and Knights of Columbus Chapter #12862 in Sharpsburg. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m., with the meeting starting at 6 p.m. Guest speakers will include representatives from the Golden Age Home Health (custodial nursing), Vista Care (hospice), Community Home Health (skilled nursing), and Georgian Place (assisted living). Meetings are free and open to the public. However, because they are held in a church, appropriate dress is required. No jeans or shorts will be permitted.
