The Villages Amphitheater was voted “The Best Live Music Venue” in the Southern Arc by Lifestyles Magazine’s readers. More than 1,000 ballots were cast during April and May for “The Best of” in the area. The Southern Arc consists of Carroll, Clayton, Coweta, Douglas, Fayette and Henry counties.

The Villages is a state-of-the art outdoor entertainment venue located in downtown Fayetteville. It can accommodate 1,800 people including both tiered, reserved seating and lawn seating. The Villages opened to a nearly sold-out show in September 2001, with the sounds of The Temptations. It is owned by the Downtown Development Authority and City of Fayetteville and managed by Fayetteville’s Main Street.

“For those who haven’t attended a concert, many well-known national acts including The Oakridge Boys, Sara Evans, Ronnie Milsap, Kenny Rogers, the Platters and the Coasters and Percy Sledge have graced our stage,” said Nancy Price director of Main Street. “We’re thrilled to be voted the Best Live Music Venue because we work hard to keep it beautiful and to make our schedule enticing to the citizens. We want everyone to enjoy their night out in our amphitheater!”

The Villages is known as a family-friendly venue by providing many free events including a Memorial Day Concert featuring the Atlanta Pops Orchestra, “Free Family Fun Film Nights” during the summer, July Jam Swingin’ Medallions concert and God and Country Night concert.
