Summer Art Camp display

During the Month of August, the Fayette County Library will be exhibiting the artistic talent of over 50 children who attended the Summer Art Camp at the Fayette Art Center and Gallery. Since the Art Center's mission is to instill creative thinking skills and self-esteem, each child was allowed to follow their own path. The result is a collection of varied work. Besides watercolor, acrylic, pastel and charcoal drawings, wire sculpture, clay creations, computer generated photography, lots of animation and  dragons, collage work, cardboard and found object ships, boats, planes, buildings, landscapes, portfolios and boxes will also be on display. Picasso was right when he stated "all children are born artists." Pictured holding their artwork from this summer’s camp is Andrew Alberts, Clark Lord, Blase DeGolian, Bridget Churbrock, Sophia Lord and Melissa Woolbridge.
