A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of an escapee from a work release program in Hall County, Peachtree CIty police said. Sgt. Jason McKinnon pulled the suspect over after spotting an improper left turn at Ga. Highway 54 and Northlake Drive, police said. Although the suspect gave incorrect information, McKinnon was able to determine that Martin had an outstanding warrant for flight and escape in addition to a suspended driver’s license, police said. John Ray Martin, 31, of Old Milton Parkway, Alpharetta, was also charged with disobeying a traffic control device, obstruction of a police officer and driving with a suspended license. Martin has previously served time for theft by taking and cocaine possession, both in Fulton County, according to the Georgia Department of Corrections. login to post comments |
