The Forest Park Lady Fury Basketball team finished in second place in the YBOA National Basketball Tournament held in Orlando, Fla. July 9-15. Gabrielle Seiler, from Peachtree City, participated on the team. There were 23 teams that participated in this tournament. The Lady Fury opened up pool play and went 3-0. During the championship bracket, the Lady Fury beat the Orlando Blazers, Pittsburgh Heat, Norfolk Express and the Southwest Dekalb Lady Eagles. This placed the Lady Fury in the championship game. The Norfolk Express beat the Lady Fury two times coming up from the losers bracket to win the tournament. The Lady Fury’s record for the tournament was 7-2. Gabrielle Seiler, R, was named on the All-Tournament team along with Brittney Guy and MVP Galaisha Goodhope. Ashley Cole took home the Hustle Award. Photo/Special.
