Robert ‘Bob’ Brooks, 69, Myrtle Beach, S. C., formerly of Fayetteville, died July 16, 2006. He was a native of the Sweet Home community, Luris, S. C. He was graduated from Clemson University. He founded Naturally Fresh dressing company, and while an original investor in the Hooters Restaurants, he later bought the company. His companies sponsored Alan Kulwicki’s team in a Nextel Cup championship. In April, 1993, his son, Markvan, was killed along with Kulwicki and two others in a plane crash near Bristol, Tenn. Services will be today at 4 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church, Myrtle Beach. Interment will be at the Bell Brook Gardens, Luris, S. C. Survivors include his wife, Tami Brooks; a son, Coby Brooks; a daughter, Boni Belle, 7; two brothers; three sisters; and three grandchildren; as well as stepchildren and step-grandchildren. McMillan-Small Funeral Home, Myrtle Beach, was in charge.
