County vows to get involved in chemical controversy

North Fayette home owner Garrett Ryfa is one of 300 residents of Fayette and south Fulton who signed a petition Monday at an impromptu gathering at Bethany United Methodist Church on Lee’s Lake Road. The petition demands an end to the smell of Propyl mercaptan that originated at the PSC waste treatment plant on Ga. Highway 92, an inspection of soil and waterways in the area and a public meeting within 15 days.
