Eight-times Australian National champion Irish dancer Rowena Ryan-Schultz, has established a dance school in Peachtree City.

The 33-year-old has been dancing for 28 years, launching her international career with appearances at the World Irish Dancing Titles in Ireland in 1987 and winning her home State of Queensland’s title 23 times.

Announcing the opening of her classes, Ryan-Schultz said she would teach at the level of beginner, advanced beginner, novice, prizewinner, championship and Ceili, as well as adult classes.

“There’s strong interest in Irish dancing across different age groups and I have TCRG accreditation covering all these levels,” she said.

Ryan-Schultz said because of her certification and teaching credentials, all students would be eligible to participate in accredited Irish dancing competitions.
She said class numbers would be limited to allow as much one-on-one tuition as possible.

Ryan-Schultz met husband Mike Schultz while he was visiting Australia with the U.S. Marines in 1997. They live in Peachtree City and have a daughter, Jessica, who is an avid follower of Irish dancing and has already competed in four competitions- two in Australia and two in America.
