Benjamin F. Malone Jr., 83, Fairburn, died July 8, 2006. He was the son of Benjamin F. and Pauline Kelly Malone Sr. of Camp Hill, Ala. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Eli Floyd Malone. He was a veteran of World War II, enlisting in the United States Navy in 1942. He served in the Pacific for 4 years, and was honorably discharged in Dec. 1946 with the rank of Chief Petty Officer. He was employed by the Ford Motor Co, Atlanta, retiring with 38 years of service. Graveside services were in Alabama. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Ruth Strozier Malone, Fairburn; a daughter, Phyllis and Everett Porter, Woodstock; a brother, E. Thomas and Sylvia Malone, Jacksonville, Ala.; a sister, Dr. Eugenia and Dr. Harold Zallen, Auburn, Ala.; and a niece, Katherine and Derek Malone-France, Washington, D. C.
