Fifty-eight students at the University of Georgia received First Honor Graduation distinctions at the May 13 Commencement ceremonies. The school bestows the honor on students who maintain a 4.00 grade point average throughout their undergraduate studies. The students graduated summa cum laude and ranked in the top one percent of the 4,500 member graduating class. Local First Honor graduates include Andrew John Lavoie, son of Michael and Eileen Lavoie, of Peachtree City, and Jennifer Louise Vanairsdale, daughter of Michael and Susan Vanairsdale, also of Peachtree City. Lavoie graduated with degrees in Spanish and international affairs and Vanairsdale graduated with degrees in history and romance languages. login to post comments |
