I wish to publicly thank Captain Steve MacFall and the numerous other Fayette County firefighters that responded to a fire at my home on June 25.

We had a lightning strike that ruptured and set ablaze our 500-gallon propane tank, a situation that threatened my home and family.

After a call to 911, the Fayette County Fire Department arrived quickly and acted decisively to contain the fire and prevent damage to my home.

Due to the leak in the propane tank, the firefighters had to stay on site for over six hours to prevent a further fire or explosion.

I was impressed by their professionalism, concern for the well-being of my family, and dedication to preventing further property damage. They are true heroes in every sense of the word.
