What a great parade and the fireworks were something to see on the 4th of July. Thank you, Peachtree City and the Public Works Department (PWD), for a fun day.

However, the next morning was a sad sight to see. There was the maintenance crew out in full force picking up trash.

You should have seen the trash that was left behind by folks watching the fireworks. And it was the same after the parade. Just leave it there!

Is it too much effort to take a plastic bag and take your trash home with you? That is the least you can do to show your appreciation to the city and the PWD.

Parents, what a good lesson to teach your children in civic pride and to keep our city beautiful.
