Faith Hardnett 2006

It is a great honor to know that I served parents and students in the Fayette County School System for 35 years of my life. Those were very gratifying years for me.

The following professional experiences have prepared me to be the better qualified and most experienced candidate to serve as your newest, most energetic board member:

Teacher: Fayette Junior High, 1 year

Teacher: Fayetteville Elementary, 8 years

Counselor: Fayette County High School, 15 years

Assistant Principal: McIntosh High School, 1 year

Assistant Principal: Fayetteville Elementary, 2 years

Principal: East Fayette Elementary, 6 years

Director of Pupil Personnel Services, 2 years

(Night and Summer School Teacher, 10 years)

I am seeking your support in the July 18th Republican Primary so that I may continue to:

1. Put student needs and academic performance first.

2. Oversee the hiring of top quality educators.

3. Aggressively address the illegal student issue by taking the appropriate action according to board policy and the law.

4. Research the allocation of funding/ construction for overcrowded schools.

For student excellence and academic achievement, we must salute the great teachers in the classrooms, the great counselors, the great parents and the great administrators who work diligently with our students in helping them to develop life-long skills and life-long goals.

I feel that my dedicated service of 35 years gives me ownership to much of our success as a great school system.

In addition to the previously mentioned experiences, I have revised board policy at the request of the superintendent. I have served as a mediator/facilitator for the Central Office. I have helped to write and implement curriculum, and I have served on textbook adoption committees for the school system. I also managed a school as the principal of students in grades Pre-K—5th, where I became an expert in financial and strategic planning .

I am the better qualified person to serve in Post 5 for the Fayette County Board of Education. I have walked in your shoes as parents. I walked in the shoes of teachers, counselors and administrators of this school system.

When I am elected, I will continue to be an asset and a team player to the superintendent, other board members and to all Fayette County students. Please, “Follow your Faith” on July 18th.
