Records smashed at 2006 Fayette County Summer League Swimming Championships

The 2006 Fayette Summer League Swimming Championships were held June 24 at the Peachtree City Kedron Fieldhouse and Aquatic Center and it turned out to be one for the books.

Over 350 swimmers representing the numerous neighborhood summer swimming teams showed up and made the water catch fire.

Almost every championship record was broken.
Representing The Estates Swim Team as well as breaking championship records were Danny Chasen, Kevin Davis, H. Pfannenstiel, Coury Rogers, Kristen Schroder, Ashley Shad and Austin Zaharoff.

Swimming as record breakers for the Highgrove Hurricanes were Cameron Cushing, Halie Hinchey, Taylor Lego and Alex Stephens.
Representing Kedron Hills were Caleb Benson, Maggie Flaherty, Lauren Hohenberger, Sarah Hohenberger, Camryn Koontz, Karley Mason, Abby Ott, Amanda Ponseigo, Jackie Roshelli, and Sophia Skonberg.

Performing for the largest group of record breakers as a Peachtree City Pacer were Claren Anderson, Madison Brasselle, Jessica Brown, Madison Bunker, Marcus Burk, Tyler Burrell, Danielle Castillo, Nicholas Chang, Grace Daley, Chloe Dallas, Bethany Ellyson, Matthew Ferguson, Brian Forsyth, Emily Frey, Allison Gair, Christina Gallucci, John Michael Hall, Courtney Harris, Ryan Haycraft, Bridgette Machemehl, Chipper Machemehl, Matt Manley, Tommy O’Brien, Austin Palmer, Nicholas Palmer, Nathan Raymond, Linus Schatte, Alexandra Schmid, Samantha Schmid, Kaleb Slaughter, Khloe Slaughter, Brian Steele, Garrett Wood and Lauren Worley.
Breaking records for the Planterra Ridge Penguins were Jake Carney, Joe Fruscione, and Madison Orourke.

Last but not least, the record breakers swimming for the Woodcreek Waves were Mark Buck, Drew Clasen, Joey DeLuca, Erin Egoroff, Chris Hall, Sarah Hay, Scott Houghtaling, Sarah Martin, Mike Mosgrove and Chris Walsh.

The Estates broke one relay (four swimmers in one race) record, Kedron Hill broke two relay records, the Peachtree City Pacers broke 15 relay records, and the Woodcreek Waves broke one relay record.

Peachtree City’s Southern Crescent Aquatic Team a year round swimming program will be starting the 2006-2007 in August.
