Seminoles win ‘Elite’ Major USSSA State Title

Seminoles are state champs

The Georgia Seminoles Captured the 13u USSSA Elite Major State Championship recently.
For the tournament, the Seminoles scored an impressive 59 runs in five games.

This was the Seminoles largest output of runs scored in any tournament all year and against four of the very best teams in Georgia. Two of the teams are ranked in the top 10 by Travel Ball Select,: East Cobb Astros, # 2, and Newnan Cougars, # 8.

Jonathan Richey led the Seminoles at the plate with a .667 batting average but seven others hit over .400 for the tournament.

D. J. Hill, .643, Brandon Stephens, .571, Renaldo Jenkins ,.538, Delino DeShields, .500, Jeffery Newberry, .500 and Kevin Cosper, .429.
On the mound, Renaldo won both games he pitched and Conner Mason picked up two huge saves to help lead the Seminoles. Rashad Billups and Julius Gaines also picked up wins on the mound and Dylan Ivey recorded a save.
