• Lee Hyde, a Fayetteville resident and member of the 2006 Georgia Tech College World Series Squad, was named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference’s Academic baseball team.
To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career. Athletic accomplishments are also considered.

Hyde, a junior left-hander from Fayetteville, Ga., was 6-0 with a 3.02 earned run average this spring. Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in June, he made his professional debut this week with Danville of the Appalachian League.

• Noah Copeland, a member of the Georgia Tech men’s swimming and diving team and resident of Peachtree City, was named to the All- Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Men’s swimming and diving team.

To be eligible for consideration, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.0 cumulative average during his academic career.

Copeland clocked a NCAA `B’ standard time of 1:38.09 in the prelims of 200-yard freestyle at the ACC Championships, finishing in eighth place. An undecided major in the College of Engineering, Copeland swam a leg of the 800 free relay team that posted a NCAA `B’ cut of 6:37.09.
