Martin and Paula Gehring of Fayetteville announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Pamela Gehring, to Andrew Pretorius, son of Doug and Carol Pretorius of Bellville, Ohio.

The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Fayette County High School and a 2004 graduate of Wittenberg University, where she earned a B.A. in biochemistry/molecular biology and German. She is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in genetics at the University of Iowa.

The groom-elect is a 2000 graduate of Clear Fork High School and a 2004 graduate of Wittenberg University, where he earned a B.S. in biology and B.A. in chemistry. He is employed by the University of Iowa Hospital as a research assistant.

The wedding will be July 22, 2006, at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Bellville, Ohio. Following a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Iowa City, Iowa.
