Mr. and Mrs. Dan Lorton of Fayetteville announce the marriage of their daughter, Meredith Anne, to Dana Evan Daniel, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.E. Daniel.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Tom and Madge Lorton and the late John and Flo Hopkins. She is a paraprofessional in a Georgia Pre-K program in McDonough.

The groom is the grandson of the late Elbert and Sally Wester and the late Ina Daniel. He is employed as a welder in McDonough.

The wedding was Saturday, April 29, 2006, at Locust Grove United Methodist Church. Dr. Doug Gilreath conducted the ceremony. Honorary parents of the groom were Bobby Higgins and Shirley Wilkerson.

The matron of honor was Carrie Ellington. Bridesmaids were Barbara Southerland, Vickie Lorton and Elizabeth Hong, cousins of the bride. The flower girl was Anna Martin, also a cousin of the bride.

The best man was Richard Edwards. Groomsmen were George Mavis, David Benefield and David Daniel, nephew of the groom.

A reception followed in the church fellowship hall.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn. the couple resides in Locust Grove.
