• Brittany Jackson, a libero from Fayette County High School in Fayetteville, has signed to attend and play volleyball for Valdosta State University. Jackson has experience playing the outside hitter and setter positions.

She played club volleyball with the Tsunami Volleyball team in Fairburn.

The Blazers return eight letterwinners, including six starters, off of a squad that went 10-23 in 2005. Valdosta State opens its season against Alaska-Anchorage at the St. Mary’s Tournament Aug. 25 before returning home to host the inaugural Azalea Classic in the P.E. Complex Aug. 31 through Sept. 2.
