OutPatient Imaging is known for providing Fayette County with excellent imaging services in a comfortable setting with quick results. Now in its third year, the business has recently expanded, adding new services and becoming the only imaging center in Fayette County to receive full accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR).

According to their press release, the ACR “awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer-review evaluation of the practice. Evaluations are conducted by board-certified physicians and medical physicists who are experts in the field. They assess the qualification of the personnel and the adequacy of facility equipment.”

OutPatient Imaging offers a full range of diagnostic radiology services, including high field MRI, CAT Scans, x-rays, fluoroscopy, ultrasound and the recently added mammogram and bone density scans. With these additional services, the clinic has expanded throughout both floors of their building, located in Peachtree City.

At OutPatient Imaging, the comfort of the patients is highly valued, and the building itself reflects this goal. “It’s not your typical doctor’s office,” clinical site manager Ann Hogan explains. The newly expanded waiting room has the look and feel of a living room, with comfortable furniture and a warm atmosphere. Homemade cookies are even offered after exams, all geared towards making patients feel at ease.

“Many patients don’t realize they have a choice when it comes to imaging services,” Hogan explains. Outpatient Imaging is geared towards quality and convenience. Outpatient Imaging states that they are in network providers for nearly all insurance plans. Same or next day appointments assure a prompt response to all medical concerns. Exams are scheduled based on patient convenience and long waits are eliminated.

“Just like our name says, we are an out-patient facility,” Hogan says. “We focus on getting our patients in quickly, getting the exams done and then letting them go on with their life. We believe we can do an expert job without tying up someone’s whole day.”

Another advantage to OutPatient Imaging is the clinic’s commitment to always having a board-certified radiologist on site, meaning test results are immediately reviewed and formal reports are available within 24 hours. At OutPatient Imaging, all radiologists on staff are certified by the American Board of Radiology, many with sub-specialty training, and all technologists are American Registry of Radiologic Technology certified.
