There are six candidates for Mayor of Peachtree City. How do you decide who is the right candidate for you ? There are many issues that face Peachtree City. Let me give my summation of the candidates and the issues. But first let me say this. All these men are worthy of congratulation and appreciation. It is a very daunting and unsettling task to offer yourself up in the political arena. You open yourself and your family up to ridicule and scorn. But these men have faced that task because they love our City. Above all else know that to be the truth. I sincerely believe that.

Michael Artuburn: Who knows? Never showed.

Steve Brown: Doesnt want to repay the Tennis/Fred debt. Hindered TDK, alienated PTC from local governments, embarrassed PTC in the media. Current Mayor.

Harold Logsdon: favors annexation, paying the debt, offered no tax cuts for recent budget, unsure of other positions, doesn’t articulate his stances well. Retired middle management at utility company.

Dar Thompson: favors annexation, paying debt, wants to increase revenue by forced impact fees on sale of all homes. Partner, manager of Health spa.

Dan Tennant: against annexation, wants to sell tennis center, has track record as former councilman. Sells metal.

I am in favor of annexation that makes sense. I am in favor of settling our debts regarding The Fred and the Tennis Center. I want our budget and spending changed to reflect more a conservative approach. I have presented a plan to attract new businesses to our industrial areas to take some taxation pressure from our homeowners. I want TDK finished to give traffic relief and revitalization. I want to restore the broken relations with local governments. I want to build relationships with our neighbors so we can forge a unified plan of development for the 54/74 arteries. I have run my own business for 25 years. I have balanced budgets, hired, fired, planned goals and set effective business agendas.

When we set out our plan for election an integral part was going door to door. Frankly, I did not want to do it. But it has been FANTASTIC! We really do have the nicest people in the world. It has sincerely been a great privilege to run for Mayor. With your help on November 8th I look forward to serving you as Mayor. Thank you and God Bless you all!
