I’m a Boy Scout in Troop 181 of Peachtree City. I’m working on a merit badge called Communications. The subject I would like to discuss is about recycling. Our landfills are becoming full and it is harder to turn land into dumps. If we could get more people interested in recycling we could reduce the amount of waste that would be sent to land fills.

Right now recycling is voluntary. One idea I have would be to have a limit on the amount of garbage that is picked up. Any amount of garbage over this limit would be fined.

Another idea would be to have more recycling drop-off bins or areas. One more idea would be for each city to have a recycling department that would pick up all the recyclable items from its citizens.
