Patrick R. Gannon, son of Mr. & Mrs. Pat Gannon of Fayetteville and a 2002 graduate of Landmark Christian High School, completed eight weeks of U.S. Coast Guard Training on May 19 at Cape May, New Jersey. Gannon has undergone the rigors of introduction into the life of a "coastie" and the disciplines of the military way of life. After graduation, and a few days of shore-leave Gannon will be departing for his new assignment to the USCG 14th District, Honolulu, Hawaii with duty aboard the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter, RUSH. The USCG Cutter RUSH is conducting an historic visit to Shanghai, China with intermediate ports of call in Japan and Korea. This is the first visit of any U.S. Coast Guard vessel since World War II. login to post comments |
