A student at Fayette County High School has been arrested for possession of a knife on campus.

Michael Andrew Petty, 17, of Jefferson Avenue, Fayetteville, was arrested Oct. 26 after a Fayetteville police officer assisted school principals with searching Perry’s car, according to a police incident report filed with the Fayetteville Police Department.

Petty was charged with possession of a weapon on school grounds, the report stated.
