Dancing across the nation this summer

Georgia Youth Ballet

Members of Georgia Youth Ballet in Fayetteville have been working all year, perfecting their technique, and now they are reaping the benefits. “Georgia Youth Ballet has 22 dancers who will be attending summer dance programs all over the United States,” said Magdalena Maury, artistic director of Georgia Youth Ballet. “This is the most dancers we’ve ever had attend out-of-state summer programs. And many of them have received scholarships,” Maury added.

Taylor Smith and Jordan Smith of Peachtree City will be attending Pittsburgh Youth Ballet’s summer program on scholarship. Katie Herring of Palmetto will be attending Orlando Ballet’s summer program on scholarship. Pharan Evans of Peachtree City will be attending Harid’s summer program on scholarship in Boca Raton, Florida. Olivia Steffan of Fayetteville will be attending Orlando Ballet’s summer program. Caroline Martin of Peachtree City will be attending American Dance Festival at Duke University. Jessica Martin of Fayetteville and Kate Williams of Peachtree City will be attending Pittsburgh Youth Ballet’s summer program. Hannah Skibiel of Brooks will be attending Craft of Choreographer’s Conference in Salt Lake City. Emily Scheinost of Peachtree City will be attending Bossov Ballet in Maine. Keri Church and Kelly Church of Peachtree City will be attending Ballet Magnificat’s summer program in Mississippi. Katie Iampietro of Peachtree City will be attending Atlanta Ballet’s summer program. Laura Greenway of Fayetteville will be attending American Ballet Theatre’s summer program in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
