Kimberly Crawley, a rising Starr’s Mill High School junior, has been selected to attend Ithaca College’s three-week musical theatre pre-college program this summer. Crawley, the daughter of Shaun and Connie Crawley, has been given a talent-based scholarship to study musical theatre under Professor Arno Selco. After going through a rigorous application and audition process, Crawley was one of only 10 students selected for this prestigious program and will receive college credits for her work. A seasoned performer, Crawley has appeared in many local productions such as “Hansel and Gretel,” “Nifty Fifties” and “Alice in Wonderland” with Fayette-Coweta Family Theatre. She was seen in “Cinderella,” “Princess and the Pea,” “Charlotte’s Web” and “The Velveteen Rabbit” with A Company of Friends Professional Productions, and acted with Sharpsburg On Stage in “Disorder in the Court” and “Next Victim, Please.” She has also been seen in “Dearly Departed,” “Black Comedy” and “Anything Goes” with Starr’s Mill High School. Ithaca College, in Ithaca, New York, is widely recognized as one of the country’s top musical theatre training programs. Ithaca alumni, including many Tony Award winners, have been featured in Broadway and national tours of “Wicked,” “Cats,” “Les Miserables,” “Oklahoma!,” “Mamma Mia,” “Seussical,” “La Boheme” and “The Wild Party,” among others. login to post comments |
