It’s official. The Atlanta South Express Network of the American Business Women’s Association (ASEN/ABWA) received its national charter recently during a special luncheon meeting at Wyndham Peachtree Conference Center in Peachtree City. ABWA past National President Karen Couillard of Atlanta presented the ABWA Express Network Charter, which was then signed by all Charter members in attendance.

Couillard also presided at the installation of the following ASEN Charter officers: Laurel Duncan of Newnan, president; Sharlene Alexander of Fayetteville, vice president, membership; Jeannie Doole, Newnan, vice president, communication; Jenny Paul, Whitesburg, vice president, finance; Claudia Tucker, Newnan, vice president, marketing and public relations; and Robyn Welchel, Newnan, vice president, programs.

To sweeten the occasion, members and guests shared an Express Network cake, especially designed for the event by ASEN/ABWA charter member Sharon Alexander, owner of Sweet Sensations bakery in Newnan.

Atlanta South Express Network meets every third Tuesday to lunch, learn and network. Monthly programs feature knowledgeable speakers covering topics such as personal growth, financial planning, successful marketing and sales, new technology and other subjects of interest to women in business and those who wish to keep up with new business practices. ASEN/ABWA offers women in Coweta, Fayette and surrounding areas a resource for networking, business education and business and personal support. The next Lunch & Learn meeting will be June 20.
