When you run over a cat, the right thing to do is to stop

May 30th I was driving down Peachtree Parkway and noticed a beautiful little white cat with orange and black markings in the road. I stopped to see if it was alive and unfortunately it wasn’t.
To the person who hit the cat the morning of May 30, you should have been more careful.
[If] you could have stopped to see if the cat was alive, you would now not be feeling guilty about killing some child’s pet.
Sure, the cat should not have been in the middle of the road but a few seconds of caution may have saved a lot of grief.
