The Peachtree City Church of God and Peachtree Christian Fellowship invite all youth in the area to attend the JesusCultureAtlanta Youth and Young Adult Conference, which starts tonight at the Peachtree City Church of God on Ga. Highway 34 in Sharpsburg. The event will continue through Friday, June 16.
Registration is at 5 p.m. Wednesday and the first evening session starts at 7 p.m. The cost is $50 for all three days. Youth pastors and their spouses may attend at no charge.
All three 7 p.m. evening sessions are open to the public if seating is available.
What is the conference all about? An organization spokesperson says, “Jesus Culture Conferences are about raising up and releasing a generation of revivalists ... for three days we will be seeking God, training and equipping, praying, and ministering in the city. God wants to see cities in America completely saved and he is raising up young people who are passionately in love with him, know how to pray, and walk in the power of God.”
Guest speakers for the conference are Bill Johnson, senior pastor of Bethel Church in Redding, Calif., and Banning Liebscher, a staff member at Bethel.
Johnson is a fifth generation pastor with a rich heritage in the things of the Spirit, a spokesperson said, adding, “He serves a growing number of churches that have partnered for revival. This apostolic network has crossed denominational lines in building relationships that enable church leaders to walk in both purity and power.”
Liebscher has been a part of the staff at Bethel Church in Redding for 10 years.
“He is the pastor of Awakening Youth Movement, a passionate group of young people, from junior high through young adults, who are impacting their city through prayer and signs and wonders,” the spokesperson continued. “Banning has a passion to see people fall madly in love with Jesus, walk in power, and give themselves to a life of prayer for worldwide revival. His heart is to ignite a youth prayer movement and raise up and release healing revivalists.”
Benny Perez, also from Bethel, originally scheduled to speak, had to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances regarding his family. Johnson will speak in his place.
Worship leaders include Chris Quilhala and Melissa Wise, both featured leaders in previous JesusCulture conferences and both associated with Bethel Church.
In addition to the 7 p.m. Wednesday session, all-day events are planned for Thursday, June 15, beginning at 10 a.m. and Friday, June 16, beginning at 9 a.m.
Peachtree City Church of God is at 3935 Hwy. 34 East, between Peachtree City and Thomas Crossroads in Coweta County.
