Ronald J. “Ron” Hawkins, 60, Riverdale, died Oct. 22, 2005. He was born April 9, 1945 in Cobb County. He was the owner and operator of the Tri-County Transmission of Fayetteville. He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hawkins, and a sister, Diane Vaughn. Services were at the Mowell Funeral Home chapel with Bishop Mickey Edwards officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Patty Hawkins, Riverdale; sons, Rodney and Tami Hawkins, Leesburg, Va., and Steven Hawkins, Riverdale; Big Papa’s girls, Shelby and Kaitlyn Hawkins, Leesburg, Va.; mother, Viola Minton, Douglasville; and brother, Joe Minton, Douglasville.
